someday
we will take on the world together
but that day never came

someday
we will be united
but that day never came

someday
we will dance beneath the city lights
but that day never came

someday
we will share a scoop of ice cream
but that day never came

someday
we will laugh at whispered secrets
but that day never came

someday
we will rebuild our bridges
but that day never came

someday
we will nervously rediscover each other
but that day never came

someday
we will reach out to one another
but that day never came

someday
we will wonder what might have been

dont we all
so many different paths
we could have taken in our past
regrets we ve shared a few
yet why do i insist on allowing more

I can identify with this. It's very hard to reconcile such feelings. Moving on with someone new, just isn't the same. You've already glimpsed something, something you don't really want to let go, yet you never tasted it either.
