we all know there is pain and suffering in the world
and among the billions of people on this planet
we know some among us enjoy inflicting that suffering on others
we dont like to think about it
we push it to the back of our minds
its the holiday season after all
when we should be festive
and joyous
and bask in the company of our loved ones

meanwhile we know suffering continues
that two faced sadists continue to do what they have always done
and put on a pious and respectable face out in public
while laughing at their own impunity behind closed doors
oh dont they feel superior
they know theyve made it when they can get away with the things they do

well maybe i wont have a merry f**king christmas this year
maybe i wont try to pretend everythings fine in this society
maybe i cant handle the truth and its more horrifying than i could have possibly imagined
maybe this year i wont look away just because it makes me uncomfortable
otherwise the future of this holiday will become as soulless as we have become

because they make the boring fun

because no one else has seen so much of you
for so long

real friends

because they honestly want to see you happy

the lover you desire

simply because you want to be with them

humanity
you value
as long as life hasnt completely beat you down

love is finding value in another person
for whatever reason
unlike love for an object
it is not value that is measured by prices or money
because they are not your slave
nor do you want them to be
if you truly loved them
